These Cheap Mooncakes were Horrible

Recently, I rejoiced over the fact that I could find and purchase some Chinese icy mooncakes for cheap to celebrate Chinese mid-autumn festival.

With excitement, I tried the "chocolate cheesecake" flavour one.

I cut it into 4 parts and tried one corner, and as the title suggests, it was absolutely horrible.

Rather than a mochi-like outside and a creamy/soft filling, it was hard on the outside and hard on the inside.

It also did not taste like chocolate, but just cocoa powder. The only cheesecake part about this was the word printed on the packaging.

I still finished it, and while I enjoyed it for the season, there was no enjoyment for the flavour itself.

I should have expected as much when this was so cheap.
