Fuku Fuku Nyanko Lucky Bags 2023
I love cats and luckily there are tons of cat characters in Japan. One of my favorite groups of cats is the Fuku Fuku Nyanko (ふくふくにゃんこ) – and they have a lucky bag! 2023 is the third year in a row that I got the lucky bag – and this year I even got two because they have different kinds of lucky bags. Let me show you what is inside this time.
Fuku Fuku Nyanko Usagi Fukubukuro
The fukubukuro itself costs 3,300 yen, however, you have to pay 700 yen for shipping, so in total it is 4,000 yen. It comes in a cute box tho and is always fitting to the new zodiac animal of the year. I pre-ordered my box in the middle of November and it was delivered on December 26th.
There are 7 items inside the box:
- A big plush figure of a cat in rabbit shape for the “year of the rabbit”. I already have the ox version and the tiger version from the last two years – and I guess, I should go on buying the lucky bag until I have all 12 animals?
- A keyholder version of the big plush figure. This is very cute! And I actually found out that there are different plush figures in the lucky bags from the different kinds of cats. I am happy that I got the mikeneko version.
- A warm pullover. I expected more of this… It has a warm and fluffy fleece fabric, but that is all. There is no picture or cat on it – just a simple cream color. This could be in any lucky bag – where is the connection to the Fuku Fuku Nyanko cats?
- Room slippers. These are pretty cute and I will use them. I like the cute rabbit ears they have, and the color!
- A bath towel. This is quite useful, but even if I like the image on it, I wonder who chose the colors. This combination of light blue, rose and yellow – well, I don’t know. I will use it for a shower anyway, because it’s nice to have some towels at home.
- A schedule book. This is nice and cute. I already have my usual A5 size schedule book, but it is nice to use it for some other scheduling, too.
- A IC card case. This is something useful, too, but I don’t like the image that much. Yes, it’s cute how the cats have rabbit hats and drink/eat carrots, but it doesn’t really fit my style.
For me, the lucky bag 2023 was so-so. There are some parts I like and some things I will try to sell.
Fuku Fuku Nyanko Otomari Fukubukuro
The other lucky bag I got is a travel-themed one, which costs 2.200 yen plus 400 yen for shipping. There are five items included in this fukubukuro:
- The lucky bag itself is a nice small cotton bag to put items in during your travel! Either small items, clothes or other things. I really like the design of the airplane and traveling cats, too.
- A red bag. This is super cute and here you also can store some things inside easily. The backside is having a net, so you can see from outside if you have everything.
- A zipper bag with small bottles and boxes, perfect for bringing a small amount of shampoo, soap, spray, or a place to put small earrings or contact lenses.
- A sleeping mask. Cute cat design, but I never use sleeping masks. Maybe I should try it out during my next long-distance trip.
- Slippers in a bag. Very light and easy to carry around. Perfect to use inside the airplane or in your hotel room.
I love this lucky bag! It has a lot of convenient items for traveling inside and I can’t wait to go on a trip now!
