Free zoo within Joyama Park, but enclosures are lacking

Joyama Zoo provides a free activity to check out in Nagano, and they do have a variety of animals including sea lions, penguins, monkeys, and birdlife. However, I do think that a lot of the enclosures felt too small for the animals they held, and I don't know that I would go back based on that, even though it's free. I'd prefer to visit a paid facility where the money is redirected to providing space + pleasant habitats for the animals, making it a better environment for all.
