The description
A sixty gram pack of the most perfectly crisp, light and lightly salted potato chips from Calbee available at supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide.
The good
These are the most delicious crisps / potato chips I have ever tasted! So much so I have a bit of an addiction to them. I have always loved potato chips, but never thought any potato chip in the world could compare to my country's most popular potato chips (Tayto original cheese and onion). It took me a while to get used to the potato chips available in Japan, because they are quite different in taste to what is available in Europe. But once I came around to them and tried several different flavors I soon became a fan. And of all the potato chips I have tried over the years in Japan, these lightly salted ones by Calbee are my favorite.
The not so good
They are highly addictive if you have a thing for potato chips. I'd easily eat two packs of these a day if I weren't to control myself. Even with some self control I end up eating them far more often than I should. And as they are so widely available, there is no escaping them! Moreover, they are priced affordably too, which just adds to the appeal. The price probably does vary from store to store, but my local Welcia generally sells them for just under 100 yen, before tax, for the smallest (60 gram) packet.
