Lumine's Christmas tree this year
With all my Christmas shopping done and dusted, I've been able to just enjoy the seasonal atmosphere of the shops these last few days. I am not one for the shops most of the year. In fact, I am quite allergic to shopping 11 months of the year. But there is one time of the year I like to roam around shopping districts. And that's Christmas.
I love that there are Christmas trees in Japan even though they don't really celebrate Christmas the way that I am used to. And even though they take the Christmas trees down on Christmas day! I was happy to see a few today, because the next time I'm in the shops will be after Christmas and the trees will be gone. (For the most part, but there are some exceptions).
Some of the department stores go all out. Lumine in Kawagoe doesn't really go all out, but there tree is a bit different than the norm. I quite like the large ribbon on it. Not enough to mimic it, but I did find it photo worthy! There are far, far nicer Christmas trees around the place, but I thought I'd share this one as its a bit different to others.
