Best viewing spots for Tokyo Station

Finally, the old station building of Tokyo Station, which was built in 1914, was restored and completed. The old building style of the Neo-Baroque shines again in full glory including the new Tokyo Stations Hotel. The interior of the lobby has also been restored and is a real eye-catcher.

Also, the entire forecourt, which was just a major construction site for years, was redesigned and now offers plenty of space for bus and taxi stops seating.
The best view of the station building is from the following three places:Best viewing spots for Tokyo Station photo
Gyoko-dori
Between the Maranuchi and Shin-Maranuchi building is a small strip called Gyoko-dori, which connects the Imperial Palace with the Tokyo Station. Regular festivals such as the Dream Yosakoi are held on the small section. It is also the perfect place for group photos right in front of the station building.

Maranuchi Building
On the 5th floor of the Maranuchi building is a small viewing terrace, which offers a beautiful view of the old station building. Unfortunately, the terrace is closed in the evening, but during the day you should use the chance for taking photos from there.

Kitte Shoppingcenter
The Kitte Shoppingcenter also has a small garden terrace from where you can enjoy a beautiful view over the station and the Maranuchi area. Especially in the night, when all the office buildings are lighted up, you will have a great view!
