Please take a look at this month's blog.

Have you ever heard of “usu-cha tou”?

This is “usu-cha tou” which means sugary green tea. In Japan, drinking green tea with sugar is quite rare, and Chikumei-do have been selling this product since the Showa period. (Chikumei-do is a tea shop located in Shizuoka, Japan. They also sell a lot of green tea products.)

When I found this product, I was really surprised because of the idea behind the product. Also, this product is a powder type of green tea, so it's easy to make tea. This is comparatively reasonable in terms of price, so everyone has the opportunity to taste this tea. If you are American, you would absolutely like this product since you can drink green tea with sugar. If you are Japanese or from another country, this product would be little bit rare because of the sugar.

As I tried and drank as usual, I mixed this powder with water and ice. I added a raspberry as a decoration. I've never tried tea with sugar before, so the taste was interesting for me first off, and I could feel a sense of refreshness from it.

After I checked the website, I found that they add cinnamon to the tea. It's one of the reason why it has more thick taste and flavor.

The website says we can use the powder for making matcha latte with milk, flavored ice cubes and cocktails. There are lots of way to make new matcha by using this powder, and it will be fun to think how we can use it and drink green tea.

Finally, I need to tell you that this is my last blog of Shizuoka green tea because of my tenure as a blogger. I've written and introduced some products or place about Shizuoka green tea, and it was a really exciting experience for me. First off, it was hard to express the taste and add information for the reader or viewer since I've never written a blog before. But after getting used to write about tea, I felt that I wanted to share more interesting information to my audience. Also, no sooner I found nice green tea products, I always felt that I want to write about them in this blog. I'm really glad that if you enjoyed this blog, I would be happy if you would keep checking, drinking Shizuoka green tea, and visit Shizuoka sometime. There is Mt. Fuji, green tea fields, and warm people in Shizuoka. My home town is not Shizuoka, but felt as though I could live here with wariness of people, you'll absolutely enjoy Shizuoka when you visit here. Shizuoka and its people would be welcome to have you.
