Lovely Darkness without Daylight Savings Time

Lovely Darkness without Daylight Savings Time photo

One of the nicest things about things cooling down is how nice it is to walk around in the early darkness of late afternoon.

I used to hate this, being from the states where daylight savings time changes this for us and makes everyone late to everything for a week when it happens. It turns out a lot of countries use daylight savings time, but America is most famous current example.

I'll admit it's a little off putting to walk across town in darkness before 6PM, but I really like not changing the clocks ever.

How do you feel about daylight savings time and the earlier darkness of fall?

I love not having to change clocks, but I will say I miss daylight savings time -- I loved the extra light hours in the evenings after finishing work, it made me feel like I wasn't inside all day and completely missing the sun. In Australia it gets complicated though, because we have some states that observe daylight savings time, states that don't, and even some states that only do daylight savings in half hour increments. Mega confusing!

It's a relief not to have a clock change that messes with my sleep cycle for a bit. Still, I have to keep the time change in mind when contacting people abroad. Like Genkidesu, I miss going home in daylight, so I get out for a walk after my lunch break to get some rays.
