Homerun Bar Ice-cream

The season for ice-cream is here, which is the perfect excuse for me to fill my freeze with a bunch of new flavours I find at the supermarket.

However, it finally hit me like that bat that after so many years in Japan, I had never tried this classic Homerun Bar ice-cream which apparently has been around since 1960.

The normal box comes with 10 bars, 5 chocolate and 5 vanilla. Each bar is not big, so I have been eating two each time (one each).

The vanilla flavour is very artificial and reminds me of those vanilla milk baby formulas. The chocolate is those cheap chocolate tastes too...

... but they both feel surprisingly nostalgic! These are the flavours I used to eat when I was a kid!

I love how this nostalgia is somehow intercultural.
