Cost of Hokkaido Milk vs Other Milk
I drink mostly Hokkaido milk nowadays.
After the very first time I bought a carton of that instead of normal milk, there was no going back.
It is so much richer and sweeter, and it feels very different in all the best ways possible, except for the price tag.
It is a premium price to enjoy this premium milk. Typically, a 1L pack of Hokkaido would be between 170 to 210 yen before tax, whereas other local milk are around 140 to 170 yen for the same volume.
Is it worth it? It depends on the person. If you want to support local farmers, then no. If you are mixing them, maybe not, but if you drink it straight or with cookies/cereal, I think the difference is enough for me to shell out a bit more.
