Cheap Drunk: Lawson's Happoshu, and it is Not Good
I was really happy when I found out that Lawson was selling their own happoshu, making it the cheapest "beer" at that convenience store chain.
This Gold Master had a nice packaging. 6% alcoholic content is a nice number too.
"Beer like alcoholic beverage" did make me laugh though. Why did they not just call it low-malt beer, which is what happoshu is?
..... oh, because it is not a low-malt beer.
Besides happoshu that used wheat, corn and oat, which is never good, they also used this oat spirit into the mix, which I think made it even worst.
The taste was a mess and the aftertaste was even worse.
Lawson, I appreciate you trying, but this was a bad step.
