Random German BBQ Sauce in the Supermarket

Japan is not big into BBQ sauce and they usually see it as an American thing, so imagine my surprise to find this random German cranberry BBQ sauce at the local supermarket.

Not sure why it was there, I looked it up online and found it being sold for 720 on Amazon, so I put it in my basket since it was only 340 yen for a glass bottom. Taking it home, I used it mostly as dips for pizza crusts. It has a nice smokey flavour and it is not strong at all.

However, as I was eating it, I still could not help myself from questioning who else is buying it, who decided on importing this niche product, and what Japanese cuisines would go good with it...
