Weird Ramen Topping: Bu.... Butter Oil?

At a jirokei ramen shop, I saw something on the counter that I had never seen before.

There was this bottle of yellow liquid, and the label said: "butter oil".

So... was it butter? or was it oil?

I poured some over my spoon to try with the soup. It tasted like butter-flavour items, specifically butter flavoured potato chips.

So it definitely was not quite butter, but the consistency and transparency were really interesting.

Overall, it did not match the noodles that much, but I always appreciate having new options to change up the taste in my noodles.
