Japan 8 Highball: Ume Shochu

When I picked up this can, I thought it was a can of umeshu (plum wine) mixed with carbonated water, not noticing the packaging even says "shochu with soda" in English.

It was pretty good though. The 8% alcohol (which is a mix of shochu and umeshu) gave me a strong buzz on my evening walk, and the carbonation was quite strong too.

The best part? No calories and no sweeteners, which usually means the can would taste disgusting but not in this case.

If you can stand shochu, this is worth a try for its 120 yen price tag!
