Japanese Snack: Soba Karintou
Karintou is a wheat based snack that is deep-fried and covered with sugar. They are really crunchy and addictive.
Soba karintou, however, is something that I had never seen before. Instead of just flour, it uses soba flour.
On top of that, they were traditionally made by rolling, stepped, and slicing just like actual soba noodles before frying them, so this bag of soba karintou that I bought for 200 yen were also shaped like soba noodles!
Surprisingly, they were not that sweet and did not feel too greasy, which made it even easier to eat.
I ended up finishing the whole bag of 180 grams within a couple of days.
