Quick Shoutout to Coco’s Summer Desserts

I just wanted to give a quick shoutout to the Coco’s summer dessert menu, because it has been making my summer that little bit easier.

My family like Coco’s generally. It has a very varied menu, whether it’s their lunch-set-rich lunch menu, the kids menu with the range of available dishes, or their broad-ranging “grand menu” for dinner. That solves a lot of dilemmas when we are looking to eat out and want different things. It isn’t the cheapest of family restaurants, but the food is pretty high-quality for the price.

My children and I have been particularly enjoying the range of desserts on offer on the seasonal dessert menu lately. There are a number of kakigori (shaved ice) dishes that come with a variety of syrups. My son is a particularly fan of the “pop blue” kakigori, which involves lurid blue syrup in a sweet lemony flavor and comes with a package tiny candies to sprinkle on top. Particularly helpfully, the kakigori dishes come in two sizes, the large/regular size and a smaller “mini” portion. My daughter and I have also been enjoying the ice cream on offer, which you can choose to have with or without a macaron.

We all have been taking advantage of the drink bar, too!

Lots of family restaurants have seasonal offerings that can be a great way for you enjoy a variety of traditional and modern treats in an air-conditioned restaurant. While Coco’s has become a family favorite this summer for us, it may be worth checking out whatever your local family restaurant has on offer too!
