Personally, I love the strawberry-flavoured versions of most snacks. This remains true with this product, as it is very apparent that the strawberry flavour is there. The cookie follows the trusted Country Ma’am formula of being soft and bite-sized, and each cookie has chocolate chip chunks that add to the texture of each piece. They’re not crunchy, but they have some resistance to bite while being soft in the center. I think the chocolate chip chunks, while they are strawberry chocolate, still give a bit of that cacao bitterness to the taste as well.

But while the chocolate chip chunks contribute bitterness, I think the dough itself has this milky flavour that I’m not a fan of. Perhaps the recipe here added strawberry milk to the dough, and I feel it makes it too creamy for my taste. I can get past that, as I am a big strawberry fan, but the bag it comes it doesn’t have that many pieces. Sure it’s only 111 yen, but with the size of the bag, I felt disappointed there weren’t more. Perhaps that is a blessing in disguise, though, as the calorie count in one bag was quite high, sitting at 200 calories per bag. It makes sense though, considering what the snack is.
