Learning Japanese vocabulary: my favorite book

What are the Japanese language books I've used for the past 8 years of living here? I've done "Minna no Nihongo" (Beginner I, II, Intermediate I), "Ippo nihongo sampo" (Beginner 2), which are textbooks that have been recommended to me by the Japanese classes I've attended.

When my work finally became too hectic, I switched to having a private teacher who gives me one-on-one lessons online. I'm nowhere as fluent as I'd like to be, but my teacher and I are now using "TRY!" while I climb my way to N2 level (wish me luck!)

My favorite text book was recommended by my teacher as a supplement to work on my vocabulary. It is the "Nihongo Sou Matome" series, for which I have the N3 and N2 books. It's a delightful break from learning grammar, with the vocabulary lessons broken down into themes. The example I'm showing is vocabulary for clothes, and the situational example is going shopping and entering the fitting room:

I've learned other languages before and in my experience, illustrated conversations are used from Day 1. And now that I'm moving to intermediate levels, textbooks became more "serious" or formal.  Having the Nihongo Sou Matome as an accompanying book is a welcome reprieve!
