I've reviewed other Calbee Confectionery potato chip varieties. This version, Poteto Chipusu Miso Panchi is modeled after the brand's Consome Panchi flavour. The chips come in a 58 gram bag and you'll find them in convenience stores and supermarkets. You can't miss it as it's got bold pink lettering on a warm orange background. The thin potato chips are flavoured with miso base. It's seasoned with garlic, ginger, and chili peppers. The chips have a mellow umami flavour and a little kick from the chili.

This version, Poteto Chipusu Miso Panchi is a nice break from typical potato chip flavours and the quantity is adequate for the price. The bummer is that this is a "kikan gentei" or limited period product, so snaffle this up when you see it if you're a miso and chip fan. And it appears from the product promotion that this isn't the first time Calbee offered this chip. There was a test-run of the flavour back in 2020, and consumers said it was light on flavour. This time, they've got that "punch" from the spices.
