Asahi's The Lemon Craft Green Lemon Chuhai is a canned highball I spotted at a 7-11 convenience store. The can's design and the word "premium" caught my eye. The vodka-based drink is infused with Sicilian lemon juice, shun lemon spirits, Setouchi lemon extract, lemon peel extract, and lemon oil. The combination is that it's highly fragrant and the flavor is quite complex. The lemon oil and extract give the drink a lot of body which makes it resemble a liqueur more than like a typical thin and light highball.

While Asahi's The Lemon Craft Green Lemon Chuhai costs a little more than comparable mass-produced canned chuhais, I think it's worth the few extra yen. The moment you open it, the lemon aroma promises a rich flavor and it does feel a little luxurious. I think the lemon spirits and lemon oil give the drink a rich flavor and substantial body. There's really no resemblance between 7-11's economically priced own brand of chuhai and this premium version from Asahi. I think this one is my favorite version so far.
