Glico's Pocky line of pretzel-like chocolate-dipped snacks is a long-seller in Japan. Glico's got a limited-time version available in June 2024 - Choco Mint Pocky. It's not the first time the snack has been available. It's been a hit in past summers, too. The combination of the crunchy sticks with bittersweet cocoa and the mint aroma coating is soothing and cool. They're pretty with a light green color. The sweet doesn't chintz out on flavor. These are lovely! They're a great afternoon pick-me-up with coffee.

I never turn down an offer of Pocky! The classic chocolate version is addictive with the snappy crunch and the chocolate coating. Choco Mint Pocky is one of my favorite seasonal snacks. I didn't see them in the shops in 2023, and I guess this is a strategy of Glico - tease the customers so they'll scour the shelves for limited-time offerings. The sticks themselves are not too sweet and have cocoa in the mix so you get a double dose with the mint chocolate coating. I found them at 7-11 convenience stores in the Kanto region.
