Sapporo Sakura Beer

It's a little out of season, I know, but I got gifted a short can of Sapporo Sakura Beer this week. It's a lovely reminder of springtime rejuvenation in this difficult year.

It's got a lovely retro label with a sakura blossom prominently featured on the label. The formula for this beer is said to have originated in the Taisho Period, hence the vintage look.

It's got a lovely rich color, and when poured properly, produces a lot of head.

It's a very malty lager with a bit of grassy flavor, and a bit on the sweet side. I quite liked it, but not sure where I can get my mitts on more. It's worth keeping your eye out for this flavorful, limited edition beer.
