Free stuff for playing a game

I get that they are trying to reel the parents in with free stuff for the kids but my son loves it.

This one in particular you had to be purchasing one of their projects in order to play the game. Seeing as we were looking for exactly what they were selling it was nothing out of budget to buy some dish soap. 

Most of the time it is phone companies and the "prizes" are tissue packets or whatnot. I really like that my son gets to play the games. It reminds me of the carnival except we aren't paying ridiculous amounts for a chance at a stuffed toy. The prize was a deodorant for the trash, so a bit more useful than a stuffed toy. 

I don't remember ever seeing anything like this in the states, or at least not as often as I see it here in Japan.
