An onigiri that almost everyone could enjoy

When it comes to what I'd call a "safe bet" onigiri that even most fussy eaters could enjoy, this one would have to come close to the top of that list. The onigiri has a filling of chicken tempura which has been coated in a thick, soy-based sauce, and it was every bit as delicious as it sounds. Although the price was higher than most other onigiri (this one was 190 yen), they absolutely packed in the chicken tempura. It was super filling, and I would 100% recommend it to anyone who wants a really satiating snack -- or even a meal, quite frankly, it was that filling!

If price is your main deciding factor, there are definitely cheaper onigiri options to choose from that are equally as filling. Proteins like salmon are a lot healthier than chicken tempura, too, so that's something to consider! In saying that, this was such a winner in the taste category. I loved that they incorporated chicken tempura into an onigiri, and the thick soy-based sauce was so flavorsome. I'd highly recommend this to basically anyone who isn't vegetarian/vegan, as it's a pretty safe bet that you'd enjoy it.
