We do have a small waffle maker at home, but sometimes the ease and speed of a ready-made one is convenient. This American Waffle from Family Mart at the moment is fairly simple -- it's a decent-sized waffle just coated in chocolate on one side -- and it works well as a sweet treat with a morning coffee. It is larger than some other bread products (maybe the portion size is why it's called an American waffle), so although the initial price seems high for what you get I think the value for money is okay.

The only reason I can think of it being called an American Waffle is because of the size -- I don't look at waffles as being particularly American, but I guess maybe Japan does? Overall, this is a good option if you're looking for something relatively simple (it's just waffle + chocolate coating), and for something sizeable -- this is honestly two servings for me, so you could split it with someone else in your life if you wanted to, or have half now and half later. Keep an eye out for it at your local Family Mart store if it sounds appealing to you.
