Snowtime in Minamiuonuma

While a lot of you are probably enjoying a weekend of leaf peeping, it's snowing in Niigata's snow country. Autumn feels like such a short-lived season out here, which is a bit of a downer because it's my favorite time of year. 

After today we have a couple of sunny days scheduled, then some rain -- so what's here now isn't likely to stick around *all* that long. However, at the moment there's snow on the forecast for next Monday (December 4th) but that could change.

Leaves are long gone – parts of the Niigata countryside woke up to snow this morning!
