Gratitude for snowmen

I hadn't seen snow until I was a fully grown adult, so it's still a little funny to me that now I live around meters of it. Growing up in Australia I was more accustomed to a beach childhood where we would build things in the sand, but for my kids it's snowmen galore at this time of year.

Whether they are big or little, accessorized or not, they are something I'm grateful for during the winter season. Along with the ones we make as a family, I often see other people's creations when I'm out walking—and it's something that always makes me smile when I do.

A community of snow-people ;)

Maybe it's just a reminder that we're all more connected than it feels (in winter, anyway), but they bring a bit of joy. I hope others feel the same way when they see our creations when they're out and about.

Were you more a snowman or sand sculpture person in your country of origin?
