Another natural disaster to contend with

My home country contends with bushfires every summer (and sometimes outside that season), due to a combination of climate, vegetation, and weather patterns. It's something I'm very familiar with -- people typically have evacuation plans if they live in a fire-prone area, and the fire danger level on any given day is widely publicised. It was a form of natural disaster that I hadn't seen occur in Japan until recently, though.

Iwate is currently dealing with forest fires in multiple locations, with a number of houses already succumbing to them. I feel like Japan already has a lot of natural disasters to deal with (earthquakes, tsunamis, flooding, etc.) that this feels like just another one to worry about.

I don't know that we have any City-Cost members based in Iwate at the moment, but I'm certainly thinking of anyone living there. I think the power of fire is terrifying, and I'm hoping that emergency services can get it under control soon.
