This is a drink that I feel balances its flavors very well. The addition of white chocolate serves as a really nice complement to the Uji matcha, and makes it seem sweeter/not as bitter or earthy as matcha sometimes has a tendency to feel. I opted to get the cold version of this drink, but it also comes in a hot version -- I always appreciate when seasonal drinks have this option! You can also have it made with soy milk if you don't want standard dairy milk, and again I think it's great that they have that option available. Worth trying if you like matcha with a little sweetness!

A few downsides, the first being the price -- at 630 yen including tax it's a pricey drink (the same as a meal at some places!) so trying this once is likely all I'll do. Also, it only comes in tall size, and I always like it when places have the option for the full range of sizes with seasonal drinks. Alas, that wasn't the case with this one. Overall though, this was really tasty with a nice balance of flavors. I'd say it's worth trying at least once if you're a matcha fan, even with the high price tag. Head in to your local Tully's while you can if it sounds like a must-try to you!
