Library Coworking: Friday
Friday I spent the day in Kyoto. After Field Trip Club went to see Takashi Murakami Mononoke Kyoto, I needed a break. The Kyoto Prefectural Library is in the neighborhood.
Photos are not allowed inside. In the entrance, there is a small display of old structures from the original building.
In the basement there is a large desk area and I read that there used to be a water fountain just outside. It is no longer there, too bad, that sounded nice.
On the main floor, there is a big section with local topics and a section dedicated to art catalogs from the nearby museums.
I was too visually overstimulated to look at books for too long. Still a good break. It's nice to see what libraries are like in other places.
For those of you who don't already have a library card in Japan, I hope this series motivated you to check out your local library and the services available there.
