A Daiso Hack Gone Bad

A Daiso Hack Gone Bad photo

I thought I was so smart hacking 100 yen frames so they could hang on the wall.

The 100 yen shop frames that are made to set on a self should probably only be set on a shelf.

We recently moved so I took all these kind of frames off the wall. I didn't get a photo, but they stained the wallpaper. It was not the frame part, but the back of the picture frame that left a brown stain on the wall.

I'm not sure how much this affected the repair fee I'm responsible for now, as we lived there for almost five years and the wallpaper was not new when we moved in.

I will not be using these frames in our new place.

Of course I'm sure not all of the cheap frames would do this, but a heads up in case any of you had the same idea to decorate your home.

Thanks for the heads up. It seemed like a great idea otherwise!

I have a thumbtack in the back on the stand part so the frame never Touches the wall.

@edthethe Aha... a further hack. While that sounds like it would be safe, I'm gonna go with something else once I get around to putting anything on the walls. Might as well change things up.
