The description
This air fryer uses high-speed air circulation to produce crispy and quick food without oil. The compact 3L size is perfect for small sized Japanese kitchens.
The good
One of the best features is the ease of use. You can pop in your favorite frozen snacks or even your daily meal prepped healthy chicken into the basket, set the temperature and time and press start. I used to check the temperature specifications for every dish before but now I start the fryer at 200 degrees regardless of the item and just peek in while it is cooking to see if it is done. It also has an internal lamp which you can switch on to take a look at the food inside. Everything gets cooked within 15-20mins without any extra time required for preheating.
The not so good
At first we were bothered by the fact that we had to wait for the basket to cool down to wash it. And it left to cool the food residue would harden making it harder to clean. Then we saw liners for airfyer baskets and now we use them regularly. That has made cleaning much easier. I'd recommend using two liner sheets instead of just one while cooking chicken with wet marinade because the liner gets wet quickly and might bleed down. After cooking you can dispose off the top liner and still use the bottom liner for another batch. I'd also like to try silicone liners in the future to reduce waste.
Born in India and raised in the UAE surrounded by a kaleidoscope of cultures, recently, I packed my bags (and my love for shawarma!) and moved to Japan with the love of my life, embarking on a journey full of new adventures, flavors, and discoveries.
Food is my universal language, and exploring different cuisines is how I connect with the world. Whether it’s savoring a bowl of ramen in a bustling Tokyo alleyway or reminiscing over the taste of homemade pulav, I believe every bite tells a story. To me, food and culture are the ultimate bridges between people, showing us that deep down, we’re all the same.
Through this blog, I hope to share my journey of blending Middle Eastern memories, Indian roots, and Japanese adventures—all served with a side of good vibes and even better food.
