Lotte - 爽 - Choco Coffee

My favorite type of ice cream has to be coffee flavored. It's funny because I don't drink coffee at all, but I love coffee flavored ice cream. I was so excited to see this flavor when browsing the ice cream aisle. Little did I realize that this was Choco Coffee flavored and not really coffee flavored. 

Once again I noticed that there is "ラクトアイス", which I assumed for the Mascarpone cream cheese in my Matcha post (which no one corrected me, but I am wrong... it has to be for just the ice cream period). 

Compared to the Matcha flavor, this one was no where near appealing. 

It just looked like some coffee ice cream with little chocolate dirt specs. 

After having a scoop, just like the Matcha flavored I tried, this one had a lighter ice cream taste. It had a more icy crunch to it, but at the same time I wasn't sure if it was also because of the little chocolate specs in it as well. 

I honestly was pretty disappointed with this flavor. I was expecting more of a coffee flavor, but it tasted more like chocolate. The coffee flavored ice creams that I'm used to are more rich like a Kona coffee from Hawaii haha. I think that if they wanted to add some chocolate bits, they should have made it more chunkier as well. Now that I'm thinking of it, I'm wondering if the ice cream was a chocolate flavor and the small bits were like coffee grinds.... either way more coffee flavor would have been nice.
