神奈川处于东京都的南部，也是关东本州的一个县市。因为是东京都的近邻，轨道交通与首都链接密切，也可以算在东京大都区之内。神奈川县首都是横滨市， 是日本第二大的城市。横滨市历史悠久， 也因为是日本重要的港湾，受外来文化的影响很深，是个有趣的城市。 横滨的唐人街也是全世界最大，目前就有超过三千个华籍移民者居住。另外，美国空军基地也设在神奈川内，更让神奈川的外国人增加了不少。 神奈川的旅游业也很发达， 除了横滨港，唐人街之外， 镰仓, 箱根也是来日游客必去的地方！
