You can find Obanshochaya just after passing through the old Hakonesekisho “checkpoint.”
Our teahouse serves as a place to take a break while exploring the Hakone area. Housed in a replica teahouse from the period, it is the perfect place for the weary traveler to rest their feet and get a feel for the historical background of the area.
Inside, enjoy sweets and desserts that reflect the seasons, including a Shizuoka tea set.
In addition, Hakonesekisho Tabimonogatari serves as a hub for sightseeing in Hakone. The store, reminiscent of a building from the Edo period, offers a wide variety of souvenirs including local specialties and traditional crafts from Hakone.
