Shizuoka City Tea Tourism Project

Known as the place of origin of Shizuoka green tea, Shizuoka City is still, to this day, one of the leading green tea producers in Japan. The streets here are lined with the stores of tea traders who, equipped with the best tea manufacturing techniques in the country, process teas brought in from all around Japan.

In Shizuoka City, “the home of tea,” visitors to the tea farms and stores can try hand-picking tea leaves, blending teas, and take tea factory tours, among of wealth of tea-related experiences on offer.
