Less busy than the others
Hakone Glass Museum, in my experience, is usually less busy than other attractions in the area. It could be due to how niche it is - not everybody would be enticed by a glass museum, I don't think. But it is very interesting and different to the norm. Moreover, it has a certain charm due to the atypical building and beautiful water feature, making it very photogenic. Which is just as well as you can only take photos outside, no photography allowed in the museum.

Stunning displays of antique glass
I've never been to Venice, but I figure this is the next best thing. The museum's collection of glass objects is housed in vaulted and decorated halls that recall the Renaissance era, all with expert lighting to show the objects off to the best effect. Outside, the gardens around the water features are a delight with sculptures imitating trees bedecked with glass baubles. When I visited in autumn, the backdrop of misty mountains and autumn foliage made it even more spectacular. The admission price is a bit spendy so I suggest budgeting time to stroll around the gardens and peruse the galleries.

Surprisingly interesting museum
Sometimes I visit museums on a whim, not really knowing what to expect, and that was the case when I visited the Hakone Glass Museum. The admission is kinda pricey (¥1,800 for adults), and while I don't think I'd re-visit here I still thought it was really interesting and didn't regret going. There are various historical Venetian glass pieces on display, some of which date back to the 1500s, so if you're a history buff who's also into arts and crafts you're bound to enjoy yourself. You can also take part in some hands-on workshops here to make glass art pieces, although I didn't get involved in those. If you're hungry there's an on-site restaurant with Italian-style fare. The grounds themselves are just stunning (where in Hakone isn't?!) and I may have loved those more than the actual exhibits.
