Nice garden in an even nicer part of Tokyo
Kiyosumi Teien (Kiyosumi Gardens) are really nice. I suppose the area that they cover is not so big so I wouldn't come here expecting to be able to spend, say, a whole afternoon here but with the large pond that basically dominates the gardens they do make for a nice place to have an easy stroll. The gardens are also quite open meaning that there are not many nooks and crannies to explore. At the entrance you can buy drinks (there might even be a cafe - I can't remember), and there is a drinking fountain. I think Kiyosumi Teien would be best seen as part of a day / half-day exploring the Kiyosumi-shirakawa area. The garden is pretty central to what's going on the area, and the streets in the part of Tokyo are generally quiet, laid-back, and good place for casual exploration. Kiyosumi-shirakawa is the Tokyo district recently famous for all the third-wave coffee shops that have established themselves in the area, so you could have your walk around the gardens and then go and get a nice coffee somewhere to rest the legs for a bit.

Kiyosumi japanese style garden
The Kiyosumi garden is a japanese style garden close to Kiyosumi-shirakawa Station in the center of Tokyo. The garden has a big pond with a tea and ceremonyhouse and very nice old japanese bridges. You can also find many animals like turtles, koi or many diffrent kinds of birds in the garden. The garden is also popular for their nice cherry blossom and red autumm leaves photo spots.
