Folk museum, trick house, and shuriken experience
Across the road from Togakushi Okusha Shrine is the Togakushi Folk Museum with four facilities with things to see and do. The Ninja Museum in a restored farm house displays historic and reproduction implements. They hint at the activities of the Togakure ninja said to have operated in the region. Also on the site is a small museum housing local artifacts, a shuriken-throwing range, and a trick house that takes a bit of effort to escape from. The museum is a mix of hands-on amusement, kitsch, and informative historical displays. The image above is a novelty shuriken magnet given to me by a practitioner of the ninjutsu tradition that is said to originate here.
