  • Korean Food at a Reasonable Price!

I decided to meet up with a friend at the last minute for late lunch on a weekday. I was also looking for some souvenirs at Shin-Okubo also known as Korean Town in Tokyo. The only problem was that there are so many places to eat, so I sent a message to another friend asking for a recommendation. She ended up informing me about Shinchan. It's a bit out of the way from the main road unlike most restaurants but it's not too far from it either. It only takes 5 minutes from the station. It was already around one thirty so we were able to get in with ease. The space is a bit small but it was good enough for my friend and me. The menu was not available in English. Although we were able to manage because the staff could understand a bit of English. The wait was not long (probably because it was past lunchtime) and I enjoyed the chicken that we got for only 1,180 yen. We enjoyed how crunchy it was and we ended up having 3 pieces for take-out because the servings were bigger than we expected. The kimchi jjigae was also delicious and had a lot of meat in it, unlike others I have tried before which contain more tofu! The drinks during lunch also cost 100 yen! Overall, the place is great if you don't want to spend much but want to eat a lot of Korean food! Next time I visit Shin-Okubo, I would definitely come back to this place! No doubt!
