Hitotsumatsu Beach

One of the nicer beaches

Hitotsumatsu beach was introduced to me by somebody local to the area. Much to my surprise, despite visiting during the beach 'season', it wasn't that crowded. To date the beaches I have visited in the Kanto region during summer are usually crowded or at least busy. While there were other people there, it certainly didn't feel busy. Probably because the beach is quite wide. There are few shops, facilities or parking spots in this area, which also helps keep the number of visitors down. I'd visit the toilet before you arrive to the beach! There is a toilet, but supposedly it is often out of order and its not very clean!
