Waraji Katsudon Worth Waiting For

This is a waraji katsudon (fried pork cutlet) house restaurant in the Hinoda area of Chichibu City. The decor both inside and out is not attractive, it's actually quite old and a bit run down but on weekend days there is a constant line outside to get in here. I waited for about 1.5 hours but it was worth it and I would do it again. The menu only has two choices: one katsu (ichi-mai) or two katsu (ni-mai) on your rice. Even if you are really hungry one is probably enough but even if you go for two they have takeout boxes to bring leftovers home. After we visited we decided to go back and order takeout to bring home to Tokyo for our kids. We called up in advance and it was ready when we arrived. No waiting for that!
