Small but colorful shrine
Shinagawa's Ebara Shrine is a nice place in Tokyo for some early spring color thanks to a large Kawazu-zakura tree on their grounds (one of the earlier blooming types of sakura trees). It's serene, peaceful, and not crowded like a lot of larger Tokyo shrines have a tendency to be. Apparently in early summer there's a mikoshi festival held at the shrine where the mikoshi are carried through water, but I haven't personally experienced that event.
