Getting an earlier than on-time appointment? Priceless!

I went to Tokyo Medical and Surgical clinic recently for a referral appointment. The clinic is set up like a clinic I'd expect back home, rather than a Japanese-styled doctor's clinic, and when I arrived a little early I guess I'd expected I'd have to wait. They called me to my appointment 10 minutes early!! After having been accustomed to the "sit and wait for hours" approach of Japanese medical clinics I was so pleasantly surprised. One thing to keep in mind if you visit here is that they don't accept JNHI. You'll be paying for any consultation fees completely out of pocket if you don't have insurance above and beyond JNHI. I believe that they see a lot of Tokyo expats here, who presumably have international health insurance for their jobs that covers them. Not ideal if you only have JNHI, but in the context of "time is money" I have to give them five stars. Efficient and friendly staff who all speak perfect English - it puts your mind at ease.
