Okegawa Station

Mainly used by locals

Okegawa Station is on the JR Takasaki Line. The station is mainly used by locals and there is nothing particularly fancy about it. But it is convenient enough. The area around the West rotary of the station is nicely kept and in winter they have a very small illumination display! The west side it connects to Okegawa Mine. There is a reasonably priced parking lot at that department store which is useful for the station too. The east side is quite retro. It leads to the old Nakasendo Road, where there is a large and relatively famous (within Saitama) festival annually on July 15th and 16th. I would speculate that those two dates are the busiest the train station ever gets!
