Lovely Homey Cafe

Went for dinner close to 6 pm in a party of two, and the restaurant was about 1/2 full. We were allowed to choose our own seats and peruse the menu before ordering. After pressing the ordering button, the staff quickly arrived and gave us water and took our order. The pasta menu didn’t have a ton of depth, but the mainstays are represented. We both tried the tomato mozzarella pasta with the vegetable salad, with wine and a hot cafe au lait respectively. The salad arrived in under 10 minutes, and the pasta arrived in a little under 15. The volume of the pasta was larger than I was expecting, and the sweetness of the tomatoes was an excellent compliment to the hearty mozzarella and rich tomato sauce. The past itself was a little past al dente, but it was still delicious. The seating has something for everyone, booths for small groups or couples, big communal type seating, and for those that love being the center of attention, open tables in the middle of the dining area. After reading several other reviews, I understand that late morning and lunch are the busiest times, so if crowds and waiting are not your thing, then hit the cafe a little after or before their peak hours. I would give the entire cafe a 5* review, but the lack of veggie friendly options and the price point is just a little too high. Lovely cafe overall, and I will definitely try it again.
