Boutique bakery in suburban Makuhari

On a walk through Hanamigawa Ward in Chiba City, I was feeling peckish but I gave the convenience stores a miss. This small bakery on the shopping street got my attention with its small patio and tables and chairs. Almost all items in the shop are individually wrapped so you can grab and go. The calzone I got has a lovely pastry and lots of savory filling. There are also imaginative sandwhiches such as tsubuan and whipped cream and more conventional BLTs on baguettes. The bakery is about a five-minute walk from Makuhari Hongo Station. You can picnic on Inage Beach - about a 25-minute bike ride or a 15-minute drive west of the bakery.
