Kawaguchi Asama Shrine

Lovely shrine for a view of Mount Fuji

Getting a scenic view of Mount Fuji can be done at a lot of places around Japan, and one such spot is Kawaguchi Asama Shrine in Yamaguchi. Our visit was in autumn and we got views like this, I recommend visiting when it's colder if possible as the air is more crisp and you're likely to get a better view. Along with the stunning views, the shrine is famous for having some very old (1000+ years) cedar trees on the grounds. Definitely worth a visit for the great views and history.
