Visit in autumn for a taste of Halloween in Japan!
Mitsuke English Garden has lots to offer at different times of the year, but it's one of my family's favorite places to go during October because they have some really fun Halloween decorations up! Lots of great opportunities for fun photos, especially if Halloween is something you celebrated in your home country and haven't found places to do that here. As I mentioned in my previous review the garden doesn't have an admission fee but they do accept donations -- I'd encourage anyone visiting to do that, as it contributes to the upkeep of the grounds.

Plenty of floral beauty at these well-maintained gardens
Mitsuke English Garden is located not far from the Nagaoka area, and it's a lovely place to visit if you appreciate seasonal blooms. There is plenty to enjoy throughout the year, including the likes of roses, dahlias, and peonies to name just a few. There is also a super-cute cafe on the grounds (Meg Cafe 511) and I recommend popping in there if you like photogenic sweets. The tiramisu in particular is so adorably presented! Best of all (and quite surprisingly), admission to the gardens is free! They do welcome donations, though, which I feel are very well utilized in keeping the garden grounds looking beautiful.
