Rikyu Matsushima is a restaurant that specializes in one of Miyagi Prefecture's representative foods -- gyutan, or beef tongue. They have a variety of set meals where you can sample this local specialty for yourself, and there are even kids meals so it's quite a family-friendly establishment. They do have menus in English, too, for anyone who would prefer that. It's around 5 minutes on foot from Matsushimakaigan Station, and since there's limited parking in front of the store I'd definitely recommend just using public transport to access this place.
